Chair of the Ethics Committee at the Union of Scientists in Bulgaria and the Committee of pedagogical and psychological sciences. Professor Dimitrov has worked as a Counselor at the Council of Ministers on the subject of science and higher education. He has worked as a consultant in many government, municipal and community Institutions in the field of Education and Culture. Since 2004 he has been elected Corresponding member of the Bulgarian Academy of Science.
Professor Dimitrov has been awarded with the highest orders for his scientific achievements: “Cyril and Methodius”, “People’s Republic of Bulgaria”, the “Sofia University Sign of Honor” with blue ribbon and others.
At the eve of the Millenium, he initiated and authored the “ Appeal for a more Humane World”, which has been internationally appraised by high positioned politicians, cultural, scientific and social communities throughout the World.
Professor Dimitrov is an active sponsor of many non governmental and social causes. He is a co-founder of Foundation “Humanity “, 1993, vice-president for several years and since 2010 he has been elected President of the Foundation.

Professor Snezhana Barova is a pianistwith a prolific concert caree in Bulgaria and abroad.
After her study at the National Music school in Sofia, she became a graduate and postgraduate student of the Moscow conservatoire, in the class of prof. Heinrich Neuhaus.
As a professional pianist, Snezhana Barova performed in Russia (Moscow, St. Petersburg), Ukraine ( Kiev, Lviv, Odessa), Lithuania, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova and Azerbaijan. She was a soloist with such renowned orchestras as the Saint Petersburg Philharmony, the Moscow Radio Orchestra, and many others, to great critical acclaim. Snezhana Barova gave many performances and took part in local and International music Festivals.
Later on, she performed successfully in Poland, Russia, Germany, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Cuba, India, Syria, Turkey, Greece, Albania and the former Yugoslav countries.
Snezhana Barova is a laureate of the 3d World Youth Festival in Berlin, Germany and of the 4th International Frederik Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
For her outstanding musical achievements, prof. Barova was appointed Honoured Artist (1982) and awarded a 1st class Order of Cyril and Methodius.
As a professor in the Bulgarian National Academy of Music, she has taught many young talented pianistsq who now perform and teach in Bulgaria, Austria, Germany, USA, Canada and other countries.
Since 1989 Snezhana Barova has been a member of the Academic Chamber Ensemble, which continues it’s successful “Masters of Chamber Music” concert series.
Professor Barova is a member of Foundation Humanity since 1994 and until present – a member of the Executive Board of the Foundation.
